New Date: Meeting with Prudential Regulation Authority

12 May, 2022

The new date for the CEOs' meeting with the PRA is Thursday 12 May. The meeting will start at 10.00 and will end with a buffet lunch. (We had to postpone the meeting that was  due to take place on 3 March because of a tube strike.)

To be clear, this will be a face-to-face meeting, not a video meeting. It will be held in our offices at 43 Upper Grosvenor Street.

The meeting will be an opportunity for PRA staff to outline their supervisory priorities, in particular vis-a-vis Arab bank in London, and for Arab banks to pose questions. The meeting will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

Seven senior managers from the PRA will attend, led by Laura Winchester, the Head of European and Overseas Branches.

The agenda will cover:

  • The PRA's views of Gap Analysis against SS 5/21 (PRA approach to international banks' supervision).
  • Overview of common failings in credit risk management and governance.
  • Climate Risk update.
  • Operational Risk update.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Discussion Paper.

This event is invitation-only: CEO's of branches and subsidiaries of Arab banks will be contacted with more details nearer the time.
