EVENT: Meeting with Financial Conduct Authority
Date: 19th September, 2019 Time: 03:00 am - 04:30 pm

As part of our mission to facilitate dialogue and understanding between Arab banks in London and the regulatory authorities, we held a meeting between the Financial Conduct Authority and senior Arab bankers on 19 September.
The FCA team comprised:
Lucy Hartley, Wholesale Banking Supervision
Rebecca Bell, Retail Banking Supervision
Evie Christodoulidou, Wholesale Banking Sector team
Mark Taylor, Financial Crime Specialist, Supervision
The meeting focussed on understanding the current supervisory priorities of the FCA and in particular how the Authority approaches the 'harms' which it has identified and which it wishes to prevent.
These meetings are held under the 'Chatham House Rule' to encourage frank and open discussion.
About 25 CEOs and other senior executives from banks attended.
