EVENT: Preparing for Life after Libor: TLT presentation to ABA Corporate Members
Date: 21st February, 2020 Time: 12:30 pm - 02:00 pm
SONIA, SOFR, €STR and TONA are all Risk Free Rates (RFRs) that are being introduced to replace Libor.
On 21 February, TLT Solicitors gave a presentation to ABA Corporate Members on Libor transition, describing the new Risk Free Rates (RFRs) that will replace Libor, and the steps that UK regulators are taking to try to ensure that there is a smooth transition for banks and their customers.
The TLT team outlined the numerous ways in which the abolition of Libor will affect banks' businesses, from their customer relationships, cost of funds, and regulatory risks.
The presentation was led by Marc Gilston, a partner at TLT who is leading the firm's work on Libor transition, with his colleagues Peter Carney, Paul Gair and Richard Waller, who are also partners in the firm. The contact details of the TLT team can be seen on the last page of their presentation.
This event was the latest in a series of Corporate Lunches that the ABA offers to Corporate Members and their key staff.
