EVENT: Accelerated Recovery Post Global Lock Down: Turning NPLs into recoveries

ABA Corporate Member Grant Thornton will present a seminar on how banks can successfully convert their non-performing loans into recoveries.
The webinar will take place at 11.00am on Tuesday 7 July.
It will explore how banks can reduce and mitigate the associated costs and risks of a recovery/enforcement process. The seminar will review the tools and strategies used in international asset recovery and enforcement projects. The speakers will be drawing on their experience in dealing with cases such as:
- Saad Investments Company Ltd - a multi-billion dollar fraud from which about $1 bn has been recovered so far
- Standford International bank - pursuing multi-billion dollar fraud actions
- Confidential $1 billion fraud committeed on a syndicate of 14 international banks in involving global investigations
- A billion dollar Ukrainian fraud involving global asset tracing and recovery
- Boris Berezovsky – a deseased estate in brankruptcy.
The session will also address recent trends in the Restructuring and Debt Advisory Market and it will focus on how banks can utilise the ever-evolving legislation and suport offered to business in the current Covid-19 environment.
