Andrew Cunningham is the founder and Director of Darien Analytics Ltd. a London-based consulting firm specialising in international financial regulation, bank credit risk and corporate governance. Most of his work is in the Middle East, where Darien Analytics uses the brand name "Darien Middle East."
Andrew is also Editor in Chief at the Arab Bankers Association and in this capacity produces the Arab Banker magazine.
Andrew began his career as a journalist in London and Cyprus and then spent nine years with Moody’s, initially rating Middle Eastern banks from Cyprus and then rating Western European banks from London. In 2004 he moved to Egypt to establish the Cairo office of the Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC), a U.S. NGO that provides consulting advice to central banks, capital market regulators and commercial banks. In 2006 he moved to New York to manage and expand FSVC’s entire Middle East business. He is proficient in Arabic and French. He lives in London with his wife and daughter.
